Online therapy in the UK

I provide secure online therapy sessions via Zoom, giving you access to professional counselling no matter where you are in the UK. Online therapy offers the same safe, confidential, and supportive space as face-to-face sessions, with the added benefits of flexibility and convenience.

About my online therapy practice

Online therapy can be a highly effective option for adults who want to work on anxiety, childhood trauma, relationship challenges, or life transitions from the comfort of home. I aim to ensure that the technology, setting, and session structure support a productive and meaningful experience.

Why choose counselling online

Online therapy offers unique advantages:

  • Convenience: Attend sessions from your home, eliminating travel time.
  • Accessibility: Ideal if you have mobility issues, health considerations, or live in rural areas.
  • Flexibility: Fit therapy around work, family, or other commitments without compromising consistency.

Whether you are new to therapy or returning, online counselling allows you to access the support you need wherever you are.

Preparing for your online therapy sessions

The environment you choose for your online sessions is important for privacy, focus, and comfort. Consider:

  • Privacy: Choose a space where you won’t be overheard.
  • Minimising interruptions: Ask others not to disturb you, silence your phone, and turn off notifications.
  • Sight and sound: A well-lit room helps you be seen clearly. Headphones improve audio clarity.
  • Processing time: Give yourself a few minutes after the session to reflect before returning to work or daily tasks.

Technical requirements

To get the best online therapy experience, use a reliable device with internet access. While tablets and smartphones work, a laptop or desktop often provides a smoother session. Please note that workplace devices may have restrictions that affect Zoom performance.

I use Zoom for all sessions and can provide a test link for you to check your setup works properly before your first session.

Online therapy with me

Whether online or in person, therapy sessions are 50 minutes long and usually scheduled weekly at the same day and time. Consistency is key for building a strong therapeutic relationship and supporting lasting change.

I provide a collaborative, non-directive approach. There’s no homework or advice-giving. Together, we explore your thoughts and feelings to help you find solutions that feel authentic to you.
