Counselling & Therapy Fees in Brighton & Online

Clear, transparent fees – no surprises

If you’re considering therapy, understanding fees and payment options is important. Below is a full breakdown of my counselling rates, what they include, and how to decide what works best for you. I offer both in-person sessions in Brighton and online appointments for people across the UK.

My Counselling Fees

Type of sessionDurationFee
Initial introductory phone call15 – 20 minutesFree
Standard session (Brighton face-to-face or online)50 minutes£60
Reduced-fee session (for benefit recipients or low income). Limited number available.50 minutes£50 – £55

Fees include the session itself, my preparation, follow-up reflections, and confidentiality. If you’re unsure whether you qualify for the reduced rate, please get in touch – I’m happy to discuss your situation in a phone call.

How Payment Works

Payment is due at the time of the session, either by bank transfer or cash (for face-to-face) unless we agree otherwise.

Cancellations and Breaks

Fees are due each week, including if you cancel a session. I will do my best to rearrange your session at a mutually convenient time.

If I am on holiday or, in the unlikely event I need to cancel a session, then no fee will be due.

FAQs about Fees in Brighton

Are your fees competitive for therapy in Brighton?

Yes. My standard rate of £60 for a 50 minute session is in line with many private therapists in Brighton. I also offer reduced-fee options.

Does the reduced rate affect the quality of therapy?

Not at all. The same care, confidentiality, and professional standard applies whether you pay full or reduced fee. The reduced rate is simply to improve accessibility.

Can I switch between face-to-face and online sessions without changing fee?

Yes. Unless otherwise agreed, both face-to-face and online sessions are charged at the same rate. What matters most is what feels comfortable and is convenient for you.

How do I know which payment option is right for me?

You can contact me for a short, free phone call where we talk through your situation. I’ll help you decide whether a standard or reduced-fee session is affordable and fits your needs at this time.
